Eucharistic Minister

Facilitators: Gail Englert

Mission: To provide hospitality at Our Lord's table. Eucharistic ministers share the Body and Blood of Jesus at weekend liturgies, Communion services, and all special liturgies throughout the year.
**Special Note: Candidates must meet Diocesan requirements and have the approval of the Pastor.

Lectors (Readers)

Facilitator: Frank Garrity

Mission: To proclaim the Word of God at liturgies and special services. Through their careful and expressive reading, Lectors engage and encourage the assembly to actively listen to the message of the Word.

Ministers of Hospitality (Ushers)

Facilitator: Gary Grey

Mission: To welcome guests as they arrive for liturgies, assist in seating members of the assembly, maintain appropriate decorum during worship, and help in any way they can. Ushers help facilitate arrangements and details for special liturgies.

Greeters

Facilitator: Gary Grey

Mission: To extend our parish family's welcome to all who gather at our liturgies each week. Their smiles and handshakes set the tone for our gathering in friendship and fellowship in Jesus.

Leader of Song

Facilitator: Ellen Hollar

Mission: To lead the assembly in songprayer, supporting and encouraging participation by all.

Choir

Facilitator: Ellen Hollar

Mission: To lead and support the assembly in songprayer, and also to provide inspirational choral music.

* Adult Choir

Mission: To sing at one mass each week in addition to other special liturgies throughout the year. Weekly rehearsals are held on Thursday nights.

* Youth Choir

Mission: To sing at one or two Masses per month. Rehearsals are one hour before the scheduled Mass.

* Children's Choir

Mission: This choir includes children in Grades 3-8 who rehearse and sing during specific times of the year only, such as the Advent/Christmas season.

Musicians/Singing Group for Sunday Evening Mass

Mission: To lead, accompany, and support the song prayer of the assembly through inspirational contemporary music.

Children's Choir Parent Helpers

Mission: To help with the supervision of children during rehearsal time, the organization of choir robes, and other details such as phone calling.

Instrumentalist

Facilitator: Ellen Hollar

Mission: To accompany the assembly and the other musicians and singers during liturgies; and, at times, to provide inspirational solo music.

Altar Servers

Facilitator: Patrina Garrity

Mission: To assist our priests before, during, and after weekend liturgies on a regular schedule, and to assist occasionally with special liturgies, weddings, and funerals.
Special Note: Boys and girls must be at least entering grade five to be eligible for this ministry.

Children's Liturgy of the Word

Mission: To enhance the participation of young children in liturgy by offering a special setting and interpretation of the Word of God. Children in kindergarten through third grade are encouraged to share in this scripture experience which is designed especially for their age group.

Readers: To proclaim the Word of God to children.
Song Leader/Instrumentalist: To provide the music and lead the song prayer.

Parent Helper: To assist with the care of the children during children's liturgy time.

Liturgy Committee

Facilitator: Joanne Matthes

Mission: To assist the pastor in setting goals and standards for the overall direction of liturgy throughout the year. The liturgy committee is responsible for the weekly coordination of themes and special related activities that take place during and after Mass. They plan seasonal celebrations and work with related ministries to assure that all our worship is meaningful and life giving.

Sacristan

Facilitator: Joanne Matthes

Mission: Prepare the altar for Eucharistic celebrations, including daily and weekend liturgies, weddings, funeral masses and other special occasions.

Altar Linen Care

Facilitator: Donna Halpin

Mission: To maintain weekly cleaning of altar linens. This is scheduled on a monthly basis with other members of the ministry.

Mission: Prepare decorative commemorative certificates to offer as our parish gift to each infant baptized.

Baptismal Bibs

Facilitator: Kathy Brady

Mission: To make baptismal bibs to offer as our parish gift to each infant baptized..

Art and Environment

Facilitator:Lori Pecoraro

Mission: To decorate and maintain the sanctuary and atrium with appropriate seasonal displays. These ministers help set the tone for the special times of the year through their careful attention to the arrangement and decor of the signs and symbols of celebration.
