The Columbiettes would like to thank everyone in the parish who helped with donating items for the recently completed Religious Ed Serv-A-Thon. Here is a synopsis of what the students accomplished during their Lenten preparations through prayer, sacrifice and alms-giving:
Pre-K & K created 6 Spring flower arrangements that were donated to The Homestead Nursing Home in Frankford.
1st grade decorated and filled 17 Friendship boxes with personal items and toys for displaced children through D.A.S.I in Newton.
2nd grade collected change in baby bottles to donate to Birth Haven in Newton for the purchase of infant car seats.
3rd grade decorated and filled 31 care-cloths with toiletries for Sunrise House in Lafayette.
4th grade donated school supplies, then decorated and filled 16 school bags for Samaritan Inn in Franklin.
5th grade donated personal care items and wrote 43 letters to the soldiers overseas.
6th grade donated kitchen items and created over 300 napkin rings to beautify the lunch trays at Harvest House in Sussex. |
